Associate Veterinarian

The Schedule

We would love to create a schedule that best meets your needs and ours. As such, we provide two different scheduling needs.

1) Full time veterinarian for hire. Working 4 days one week 5 the other.  Wednesdays off every week with NO Saturdays.

2) Full time pay with a part time schedule.  3 days per week. Monday thru Wednesday one week, then Wednesday thru Friday the next week.

Office hours are Monday – Friday 7am-6pm.

The Hospital

As we grew throughout the years, our facility did too! We are proud of our large hospital with oversized exam rooms. We have a large surgery suite, expanded dentistry area, dedicated x-ray room, and a variety of in-house Idexx equipment with results imported to our Cornerstone software with EMR. Digital radiography, digital dental radiography, and ultrasound help us provide the highest quality of care.

Our spacious boarding facility with indoor runs, cages, and grooming room make up the rest of our facility.

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and eager Associate Veterinarian to deliver medical, surgical, and dental care to patients. Customer Service background desirable.

Experience with basic office functions; comfortable with Word, typing, email, adapting to different software. Ability to recognize that teamwork is essential for a quality practice; ability to work as a team.

Summary:

Kennel staff members are responsible for proper husbandry care of all hospitalized and boarded animals, including feeding, bathing, record keeping and the cleanliness of cages, runs and ward areas. In addition, the kennel staff also is responsible for the cleanliness of the hospital.

Office Manager

Summary:

The veterinary Office Manager is responsible for seeing that administrative policies and procedures are adhered to. The Office Manager’s duties and decision-making may be very broad depending on the administrative needs and criteria established.

 

Generally, the Office Manager will be responsible for the daily accounting transactions with clients, transactions with clients, banks, suppliers, and personnel. The Office Manager may coordinate scheduling, training, purchasing and bookkeeping for the practice and may act as a liaison between the Hospital Administrator, Practice Manager and the hospital team.

Management experience; in a veterinary setting preferable.

Personnel

  • Supervises Receptionists, Technicians and Kennel staff while acting as front office support.
  • Reviews applications, screens applicants, and narrows the applicant choices through the interview process.
  • Handles performance evaluations for all team members, introductory, annual and performance counseling as needs arise individually.
  • Act as a liaison between doctors and team members.
  • Oversee the training of new employees.
  • Intervene/oversee personnel issues and assist with conflict resolution.

Productivity

  • Function as a contact person for clients concerning complaints or problems that the client may be experiencing with the hospital.
  • Direct front office staff through structuring, scheduling, motivation, and education to produce the highest level of client satisfaction possible from services the reception team provides.
  • Oversee client satisfaction feedback and polling.

Accounting

  • Check invoices daily for accuracy.
  • Prepare bank deposit daily.

Other Duties

  • Assist and fill in at Reception when vacant positions arise or when hospital flow warrants.
  • Monitor staff periodically throughout the day, encourage productivity, discourage behaviors that may be detrimental to the positive atmosphere of the work environment.
  • Assist the Hospital Manager with other duties as needed.
